49ers Roster Moves: Dillard to IR, Bradley-King signed
The San Francisco 49ers have made a series of roster moves, including the placing of veteran OL Andre Dillard on the season-ending IR.

The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed DL William Bradley-King and DL Demone Harris to one-year deals. In order to make room on the roster, the team placed OL Andre Dillard on the Injured Reserve List and waived DL Michael Dwumfour.
Bradley-King (6-4, 265) was originally drafted by the Washington Commanders in the seventh round (240th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Throughout his four-year career with the practice squad and active rosters of the Commanders (2021-23), New England Patriots (2023-24), and Miami Dolphins (2024), he has appeared in four games and registered seven tackles. In 2024, Bradley-King spent training camp with the Patriots and signed to the Dolphins practice squad on August 30 where he spent the season.

A 27-year-old native of Kansas City, MO, Bradley-King spent five seasons (2016-20) at Arkansas State University (2016-19) and Baylor University (2020). Throughout his collegiate career, he appeared in 27 games (21 starts) and registered 51 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks and four passes defensed. He twice earned All-Sun Belt Conference honors (First-Team – 2019; Second-Team – 2018) and earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors as a senior in 2020.
Harris (6-4, 265) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2018. Throughout his six-year career with the Buccaneers (2018-19), Kansas City Chiefs (2019-21), Houston Texans (2022-23) and Atlanta Falcons (2023-24), he has appeared in 23 games (one start) and registered 22 tackles and two passed defensed.
He also appeared in two postseason contests with Kansas City. In 2024, Harris appeared in nine games and totaled 11 tackles and one pass defensed with the Falcons.
A 29-year-old native of Buffalo, NY, Harris attended the University of Buffalo for five seasons (2013-17) where he appeared in 36 games (18 starts) and registered 107 tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, four passes defensed, one interception, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Dillard (6-5, 315) originally signed with the team on May 9, 2025.
Dwumfour (6-1, 296) originally signed with the team August 7, 2025.

Brock Purdy is entering his fourth NFL season, his third consecutive as the starting quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. Coming in as Mr. Irrelevant (the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft), it took time for him to build the trust of his teammates and coaches.
While San Francisco didn’t have much of an option when Purdy first got an opportunity due to injuries, they could’ve looked to replace him in the three years since, but haven’t.
He’s clearly the guy San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan are willing to bet on.
Purdy talked about his growing trust with Shanahan when joining The Richard Sherman Podcast earlier this week.
“For him to pour into me and teach me these things, it’s been awesome,” Purdy said of his head coach.”
With a complicated offense and tendency to go against the grain, Purdy has learned plenty from the experienced Shanahan.
And having trust in their passer has allowed San Francisco to open up their playbook, something Purday noted he doesn’t see on every team.
“Sometimes I feel like you can see coordinators keeping things really simple for quarterbacks,’ he said. “But, with [Shanahan], it’s been let’s see if you can handle it, and I feel like I’ve shown that.”
The Iowa State product said he feels like his coach isn’t “handcuffing me at all” regarding throws he’s trusted to read and execute.
