San Francisco 49ers sign OL Matt Pryor to one-year deal
The San Francisco 49ers have added depth on the offensive line, signing OL Matt Pryor to a one-year deal Monday.

While 2023 NFL free agency has slowed down, the San Francisco 49ers have continued to add depth on the interior. This time with offensive lineman Matt Pryor.
The 49ers have announced the signing of Matt Pryor Monday, handing him a one-year deal. Contract details have not been released at this time. General Manager John Lynch was first to report the deal, noting that the player will be competition for swing tackle Colton McKivitz at the right-tackle position.
“Colton is the guy right now,” Lynch said at the NFL Owners Meetings this week. “We just signed Matt Pryor. He is a guy who started some games in this league, but we like Colton. We have for a long time.”

The organization confirmed the deal shortly thereafter with a press release
Throughout his five-year NFL career with the Eagles (2018-20) and Indianapolis Colts (2021-22), he has appeared in 60 regular season games (24 starts) and started one postseason contest,” the statement read.
In 2022 with the Colts, Pryor appeared in 16 regular season games (nine starts) along the offensive line.
A 28-year-old native of Lakewood, CA, Pryor attended Texas Christian University for five years (2013-17) where he appeared in 46 games (32 starts) and earned Associated Press Second-Team All-Big-12 honors as a senior in 2017.
After losing OLs Daniel Brunskill and Mike McGlinchey this month, the Red & Gold have needed to address the offensive line. And with 11 picks in the 2023 NFL draft, San Francisco will look to add further in the trenches.
