A close call this week, Nick Bosa will indeed suit up against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday.
The San Francisco 49ers announced Sunday that the pass rusher would be active for Week 14. Bosa has not seen the field since last week against the Miami Dolphins, dealing with hamstring irritation all week. The injury prevented him from practicing for San Francisco in the lead up to the Bucs clash, casting doubt on his availability.
“Hopefully he’ll be good to go Sunday,” head coach Kyle Shanahan stated Friday to the media.
Despite not practicing, Bosa was spotted around the weight room Friday with no wrap or noticeable limp over his hamstring, indicating he was going to be okay to play today.
The 49ers are relatively healthy again this week, only missing QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) amongst the starters.
Tampa Bay has been hit with the injury bug this season, continuing in Week 14 with right tackle Tristan Wirfs out. Safeties Antoine Winfield Jr. and Mike Edwards, and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting are also inactive for today’s game.
