Oakland Athletics announce dates for giveaway items, fireworks and drone shows

The Oakland Athletics have announced the dates for their fan giveaway promotions.

Over the course of the 162-game season, the A’s will give away Hawaiin shirts, bobbleheads, socks, hats, and more. On opening day against the Los Angeles Angeles, all fans will receive an Oakland Athletics magnet schedule.

“A’s fans can update their Green and Gold closets with several A’s wearables this season. On Saturday, April 15, fans will receive a Jackie Robinson hat giveaway featuring the iconic “42” on the front. Fans can celebrate Mother’s Day with a belt bag giveaway (Sunday, May 14) and Father’s Day with an A’s Hawaiian shirt giveaway (Sunday, June 18). The A’s pit viper sunglasses giveaway on Sunday, July 2, will be perfect for the sunny summer days at the ballpark. On Sunday, Aug. 20, early arriving fans will snag a T-shirt hoodie. The A’s will cap off the season with an MLB Network hat giveaway on Saturday, Sept. 23.

The A’s will celebrate three heritage nights during the 2023 season, including Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Night on May 12, African American Heritage Night on July 14, and Latin & Hispanic Heritage Night on Sept. 16. Fans will receive custom-designed socks for each of those three heritage nights, in addition to Glenn Burke Pride Night on Sept. 1.

A’s fans can also add a Tony Kemp poster (Sunday, April 30), Marvel bobblehead (Saturday, July 15), and Retro Bobblehead (Sunday, July 23) to their collection this season.”

Firework nights are currently slated for:

  • May 26
  • June 30
  • July 22
  • Sept. 15

The team’s two drone shows will take place on June 16 and Aug. 19.

Tickets to promotional days go on sale during the Oakland A’s Spirit Week. All single-game tickets go on-sale on Friday, Jan. 27.
