San Jose Sharks Assign Defenseman Paul Martin To The San Jose Barracuda

The San Jose Sharks have assigned defenseman Paul Martin to the San Jose Barracuda.
According to the Sharks website, GM Doug Wilson announced the news on Tuesday, saying:
“Paul Martin has been a tremendous member of our organization since the moment he arrived. His leadership, high-level of play and character have been a positive influence on our club. We’re pleased that Paul remains a member of our organization and we hope that our players on the Barracuda are able to learn from Paul’s professionalism.”
Martin played in three games for the Sharks this season, and four with the Barracuda on a conditioning assignment.

Over a 14-year career in the NHL, Martin has played 859 games while registering 50 goals, 268 assists and a plus-119 rating. Of that, 162 games were with the San Jose Sharks, racking up seven goals, 39 assists and a plus-19 rating.
