Chandler Jones #55 of the Las Vegas Raiders sacks Davis Mills #10 of the Houston Texans in the second quarter at Allegiant Stadium on October 23, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones indicated in since-deleted social media posts on Tuesday that he no longer wanted to play for coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler.
“It’s a shame that I am a top athlete with 112 sacks in the NFL and I have to go to a local gym to work out during the season for no apparent reason this is wild to me Josh and you know it you need to do what’s right,” Jones posted on Instagram.

It seems he's not able to get in the #Raiders gym and has to go to a local gym instead and the team contacted his ex-girlfriend who hasn't been with for 5 years

On Wednesday, Raiders coach Josh McDaniels was asked about the situation with Chandler Jones while speaking to the media.
“That’s a personal situation and we’ve never really gone into those things. So I’m going to steer away from that, it’s a private matter and if there’s something to report on it, we’ll do that,” McDaniels said. “It’s a personal situation and private matter… we’re dealing with it internally.”
The Raiders are preparing for Week 1 when they’ll travel to Denver to take on their division rivals. However, Jones wasn’t with the team on Wednesday. When asked if Jones’s comments on social media could be an issue in the locker room, McDaniels said the team is focused on what they can control.
“The team is getting ready to play a game. We deal with different things throughout the course of the year, whether it’s injuries or other adversities,” McDaniels said. “I think the guys are focused on trying to control the things they can control and get ready to play the best game we can play on Sunday.”
