The Las Vegas Raiders are officially in the win column.
The Black & Silver defeated their division rivals, the Denver Broncos, 32-23, to notch their first win of the 2022 season.
Led behind a dominant ground game and defense, the Raiders were able to take an early lead and not look back. Running back Josh Jacobs recorded 144 yards and two touchdowns Sunday, his career-high. A 42-yard run in the third quarter was his longest since his rookie year in 2019.
While Derek Carr did not throw a touchdown, he also did not record an interception. This is the first game of the season he did not throw at least one interception.
Maxx Crosby and the Raiders defense came up big against Russell Wilson, too. Crosby netted two of the team’s three sacks against Wilson. And for the first time since 2019, the defense scored a touchdown. In the second quarter, Duron Harmon forced a Melvin Gordon fumble, which was picked up and returned 68 yards for a score by cornerback Amik Robertson.
