Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams limped off the practice field Friday with what appeared to be a leg injury, but coach Josh McDaniels said he didn’t “think it was crazy serious.”

Adams, who has made first-team All-Pro each of the past three seasons, was injured during the Raiders’ joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Josh McDaniels said the play was clean on the 49ers side. According to The Athletic’s David Lombardi, “Charvarius Ward laid out” Adams.

“I haven’t seen anything. I don’t think it was crazy serious. It was just kind of a bang-bang play — totally clean on both sides,” McDaniels said.

McDaniels also listed receiver Hunter Fenfrow and defender Chandler Jones as non-participants in Friday’s practice.

In his first season with the Raiders last year, Davante Adams caught 100 passes for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns. He became one of the NFL’s top receivers in his first seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers, before being traded to Las Vegas.

Steelers, Raiders in similar positions entering Sunday night matchup

The similarities between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders are numerous. Both teams are 1-1, but could just as easily be 0-2 given their subpar performances.
