The Las Vegas Raiders need help on defense.
Currently, the Silver & Black:
- Are giving up 134 rushing yards, currently 26th in the NFL.
- Have only registered seven sacks, the third-worst in the NFL.
- Have the second-lowest QB pressure rate
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Las Vegas Raiders could be in the market for a pass rusher as the NFL’s trade deadline inches closer. The NFL trade deadline is set for Halloween, Tuesday, Oct. 31.
“The Raiders have been busy making calls around the league looking for a pass rusher since releasing Chandler Jones,” Russini wrote. “They are looking for a player-for-player swap and may not want to give up too much.”
Jones did not suit up for the Raiders before he was released earlier this season. And rookie edge rusher Tyree Wilson has been almost nonexistent this season. The seventh overall pick in this year’s draft has just four tackles through four games.
Maxx Crosby leads the team in sacks with four and linebacker Robert Spillane leads the team in tackles with 20.
