With training camp beginning next week, the Sacramento Kings are still filling out their final roster spots, including some guys who will get the chance to compete to stick around. The latest edition to that group is 25-year-old Dexter Dennis.

According to Spotrac‘s Keith Smith, 6’6 guard Dexter Dennis has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Kings.

After spending his fifth collegiate season at Texas A&M, averaging 9.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.8 steals per game on 39.2 percent from the field and 31.0 percent from three on 4.2 attempts per game, he went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft.

With a 6’11 wingspan, Dexter Dennis was projected as a potential three-and-D wing who could get a chance on a two-way deal. He got that chance with the Dallas Mavericks, appearing in four games for the main squad and 29 for their G-League team, the Texas Legends.

After being waived by the Mavericks, the Texas A&M alum spent last season playing for the Cleveland Charge. Through 15 games, he averaged 11.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.9 steals on 45.7 percent from the field and 40.3 percent from three on 4.8 attempts per game in 29 minutes.

The signing took place after trading for his G-League rights. With just one training camp spot left, it remains to be seen if Dennis will get the opportunity to compete there or be immediately waived and sent to Stockton.
