Return of the Roar: Kings Make Roster Cuts As End Of Preseason Nears

Oct 13, 2022, 11:19 AM | Updated: May 24, 2024, 7:05 am

The Sacramento Kings have started the process of trimming down its roster as we move within one week of opening night.

On the latest edition of the Return of the Roar podcast, Chris Watkins and Frankie Cartoscelli reacted to the news that Sacramento has waived Kent Bazemore and Quinn Cook, contemplated who the final roster cut will be, talked about some Western Conference teams that the Kings could push for a postseason spot and much more.

Topics Discussed:

  • Kent Bazemore and Quinn Cook are waived by the Kings: what does it mean for the rotation?
  • Is it possible that the Kings waive Matthew Dellavedova and enter the season without a third-string PG?
  • Which teams in the West are the most vulnerable in the postseason race?
  • Will KZ Okpala open up the season in the starting lineup?
  • By starting Okpala, is Brown aiming to ensure that the Kings don’t open up games down big?
  • Could you eat $28 worth of Taco Bell in one sitting?
  • Be sure to check out Chris Watkins on 1140 AM each Saturday from 11am-12pm PST on Kings Weekly!

The Return of the Roar podcast is a Sacramento Kings podcast hosted by Kings beat writer Frankie Cartoscelli and digital content producer Chris Watkins for Sactown Sports 1140.
