Return of the Roar Podcast: DeMarcus Cousins Sounds Off

For the sixteenth-consecutive season, the Sacramento Kings are watching the NBA Playoffs from the couch.
Sure, there are some storylines to keep an eye on this spring and summer, like the upcoming head coaching search or general manager Monte McNair’s quest to surround franchise talents De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis with a formidable roster.
For now, though, all eyes and ears have turned to a familiar face in Kingsland: DeMarcus Cousins.
The former Kings center sounded off against Sacramento during a sit-down with Andscape’s Marc J. Spears, claiming that he would go back and skip his pre-draft workout in 2010 if he could change something about his past.
What did Sac do for me? Besides say my name [draft day]. I did more for them than they did for me. That’s just being honest. Just being 100% honest. I had two owners, three GMs, seven coaches in seven years. I was there seven years. I had three GMs, two owners and seven coaches. Not much more needs to be said.

During this week’s edition of the Return of the Roar podcast, Frankie Cartoscelli and Chris Watkins dove into all of Cousins’ comments and posed a significant question:
Did the Sacramento Kings fail DeMarcus Cousins, did Cousins fail the Kings, or did both fail one another?
