The Sacramento State Hornets are now the lone undefeated Division 1 team in California, after defeating Montana Saturday 31-24 in overtime.

Sac State is now 7-0, a first for the Hornets in school history. The team is currently ranked 3rd in the FCS Coaches Poll.

The Hornets trailed the Montana Grizzlies for much of the game until scoring the final 17 points in the 4th quarter, including the deciding touchdown in overtime by Asher O’Hara. When given the chance to tie, the Grizzlies failed to complete a pass in the end zone, securing the victory for Sac State.

The Hornets look to continue their winning ways as they take on the Idaho Vandals at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at home.
