The Sacramento Kings announced Wednesday its list of events as part of their annual Season of Doing Good.

In its 21st year, the team partners with local grocery chain Raley’s to invest in the community by spreading holiday cheer.

“The holidays are a special time of year when the Sacramento Kings spread extra joy and give back to the community,” Sacramento Kings Chief Operating Officer Matina Kolokotronis said in the team’s press release. “We look forward to joining our partner Raley’s to help local families in need this holiday season.”

The first event is planned for Wednesday, Nov. 16, when the team hosts its annual Eat Like A King feast at the Golden 1 Center. Players and coaches from both the Sacramento and Stockton Kings will serve meals to “over 200 youth and their families from underserved areas of Sacramento.”

Additional events include:

  • A ride on the California State Railroad Museum Foundation’s Polar Express on Tuesday, Nov. 22. The press release says families associated with Breakthrough Sacramento, Center for Fathers and Families, Children’s Hope Foster Family Agency, Mending of Mothers, My Sisters House, Sacramento Children’s Home, St. John’s Program for Real Change and WEAVE will be invited to participate.
  • On Wednesday, Nov. 30, when the Kings take on the Indiana Pacers, the Golden 1 Center will host a toy drive in partnership with Les Schwab. The first 200 fans attending that night’s game who bring a toy valued over $20 will receive two tickets to a future game.
  • On Monday, Dec. 12, in partnership with SMUD, the team will host a coat drive at Cal Expo to benefit the Mustard Seed program in Sacramento.
  • On Tuesday, Dec. 20, the Kings and Raley’s, along with Delta Dental, will “bring holiday cheer and treat local seniors to activities, seasonal decorations and a warm holiday meal.”
