The Sacramento Kings have filled their last open roster spot.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Kings have acquired center Filip Petrusev and cash from the Los Angeles Clippers in a move that fills Sacramento’s 15th and final full roster spot.

The 23-year-old was recently traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to Los Angeles in the James Harden trade, but the rookie will now join the Kings and provide the roster with depth at the center position.

About new Kings center Filip Petrusev

Filip Petrusev is a Serbian center who attended Gonzaga from 2018-20, where he was named WCC Player of the Year in 2020 after posting 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 56 percent shooting from the field over 33 games.

After being selected with the 50th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Petrusev played overseas in the EuroLeague and ABA League.

Last season with Crvena zvezda mts, the 6’11 big averaged 11.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 59 percent from the field over 24 appearances.

The young center has only logged one game (three minutes) of NBA action in his brief career.
