Kings Finalize Mike Brown’s Coaching Staff for 2022-23 Season
The Sacramento Kings and head Coach Mike Brown have announced the full list of coaches joining his staff.
Brown was hired after the Kings fired Luke Walton starting last season 6-11. Alvin Gentry was named interim coach and finished the season 24-41. He has since joined the Kings’ front office staff.
Members of Coach Brown’s staff have been announced throughout the summer. Jordi Fernández, who led the Kings during the NBA’s Summer League, has been named associate head coach. Fernández spent the last six seasons with the Denver Nuggets as an assistant coach. He previously worked with Brown in Cleveland.
Assistant coaches include Jay Triano, Doug Christie, Luke Loucks, and Leandro Barbosa.
“We have assembled a diverse and talented group of coaches with unique experiences who will positively impact our players’ individual development,” Head Coach Mike Brown said in a press release. “Collectively, they all embrace the core values that will be critical to our overall team success. I couldn’t be more excited to work with them.”
