Welcome to the first Sactown Sports mailbag with your questions about the Sacramento Kings 2023-24 season.

The Kings go into Monday’s matchup with the Houston Rockets with a 2-3 record. Although better than last year’s start, the team has struggled against division-rival Golden State Warriors.

And while the team was generally healthy last season, the Kings are already dealing with missing players. Star guard De’Aaron Fox sprained his ankle in the team’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s already missed two games and will miss Monday’s game against the Rockets. Trey Lyles has not yet played this season as he works his way back from a left calf strain. He “continues to progress through return to play protocol.”

This week’s questions include:

  • How do you feel about the Kings so far this season? – Ted in Elk Grove
  • What is up with the NBA’s In-Season Tournament? – Josie in West Sacramento
  • How much of rookie Colby Jones are we going to see this season? – Tim in Antelope
