Sacramento Kings 2022-23 Media Day Highlights

The day has finally come–Sacramento Kings basketball is BACK (well, sort of)!
It’s Media Day for most of the NBA on Monday as players, coaches, and staff will pack into their respective team facilities to take pictures, shoot promotional content, and speak to the media for the first time this season.
New Kings head coach Mike Brown, fourth-overall pick Keegan Murray, Malik Monk, and Kevin Huerter are some fresh faces that took part in their first media day as members of the Sacramento Kings organization.

Monte McNair when asked if he has had any discussions with the Kings about a contract extension: “I’m the GM right now and I’ve got a bunch of work to do, and I’ll do that until they kick me out, which I hope won’t be for a long time.”

Chimezie Metu says that the competition for roster spots & playing time is a “good problem to have”.
Metu will be in the mix for minutes at the forward spots along with Trey Lyles, Kent Bazemore, Chima Moneke, and KZ Okpala.

Domantas Sabonis says that he feels very confident in this revamped coaching staff and that he’s looking forward to getting to work with this group.

Domantas Sabonis says that he believes he and Richaun Holmes can be productive playing alongside one another.
It’s unknown if/how much Mike Brown will play Sabonis and Holmes together, but it’s something that we could see this preseason.
