The Sacramento Kings continue to be innovative, with the expected release of more of Laidback Lion NFTs [Non-Fungible Tokens] at the end of August.

The design features Slamson, the team’s mascot, as 80 different Laidback Lions.

Owners of the Laidback Lion NFTs will have access to invitations to private events, including Kings game tickets and a pregame event with Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé. Prices for the Laidback Lions will be around $500. The set will be available starting Wednesday, Aug. 31.

One rare gold Laidback Lion NFT will be auctioned off, with the expected starting point at $5,000. The owner of the rare gold lion will have access to a “VIP road trip experience with the Kings during the 2022-23 season, including roundtrip domestic flights, hotel and game tickets for themselves and a guest.”

“Based on the tremendous response to the first release of the Laidback Lions, we are thrilled to expand our collection of NFTs and welcome new owners to The Jungle community,” Ranadivé said in the press release. “We are continually focused on creating new and engaging experiences for the best fans in the world and we are excited to offer this unique opportunity.”

The Kings previously utilized NFTs to enhance the fan experience during the 2021 California Classic. To learn more about these NFTs can be found here.
