We now know who the Sacramento Kings will face off against to start the 2022-23 NBA Season.
The Kings open the regular season at the Golden 1 Center against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, Oct. 19. This is the first time in four years the team starts the regular season at home.
The full season schedule is slated to be released later this week.
Last week, the team announced its preseason schedule. The Sacramento Kings face off against the Portland Trailblazers for their first home preseason game on Sunday, Oct. 9. The team sees the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers twice during the four-game preseason.
Ticket information for all Kings’ preseason and regular season games will be available towards the end of August.
The Kings hope to break a 16-season playoff drought this season. Following their off-season, fans believe this is the year it can happen. The Kings drafted Keegan Murray with the number four pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Murray would eventually be named NBA Summer League MVP after averaging 23.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in summer league play.
Once free agency kicked off, the Kings announced the signing of Malik Monk. The Kings then traded Maurice Harkless and Justin Holiday and a protected draft pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Kevin Huerter.
