Sacramento Republic FC to make CBS network debut in July

The Sacramento Republic have been stars on the pitch for the last few years, now getting a plethora of national opportunities to make a bigger name for themselves.

Sacramento Republic F.C. will play a USL Championship match on CBS later this summer, the club announced Wednesday. The move comes as part of an initiative across the CBS Sports network, rewarding Sacramento for an excellent national over-the-air debut earlier this year.

Sacramento will travel to The Bay Area to face NorCal rival Oakland Roots SC for the clash, now taking place Sunday, July 21st at 1 P.M. It be available to watch, for free, on CBS13 in Sacramento.

Wed.,. July 3 – CBS Sports Network – Republic FC vs Las Vegas Lights at Heart Health Park – 7:30 p.m.

Sun., July 21 – CBS – Oakland Roots SC vs Republic FC at Pioneer Stadium – 1:00 p.m.

Sat., August 3 – ESPN 2 – Republic FC vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Heart Health Park – 7:00 p.m.

Sat., August 10 – ESPN 2 – Louisville City FC vs Republic FC at Lynn Family Stadium – 6:00 p.m.

Wed., August 14 – CBS Sports Network – Republic FC vs El Paso Locomotive – 7:30 p.m.

The Sacramento Republic have been indomitable this year, remaining unbeaten through the first quarter of the 2024 season. The Quails are currently in second place in the USL Championship Western Conference standings, with a record of 5-6-0. Their unbeaten run continued last weekend, drawing with Birmingham Legion, 0-0.

SRFC is back in action this Saturday, facing off with Tampa Bay Rowdies on Pride Night at Heart Health Park. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m, and will be broadcast live in English and Spanish on FOX40 and Antenna TV 40.2, as well as streaming on FOX40.com, the FOX40 News mobile app, and ESPN+.
