Sacramento Republic FC Trevor Amann named to USL Team of the Week

Sacramento Republic FC have been running hot all 2024, with individual accolades coming out of the wazoo. This week is no different, with Trevor Amann receiving his flowers.
The USL Championship announced Tuesday that the Republic FC striker had been named to the Team of the Week Bench for Week 15. The award is based off his performance against Oakland Roots SC on June 15th. Amann came on as a substitute, providing his second brace of the season in a losing effort.
He was named to the Team of the Week in Week 1 as well. This is the fourth straight week Sacramento has been recognized with league honors.

Trevor Amann, 26, is in his first season with The Quails, signing with the team prior to the 2024 season. He is a veteran of the USL system, making his professional debut for League One side Northern Colorado Hailstorm in 2022. The Colorado native was prolific at the lower level, scoring 28 goals in 57 matches across two seasons. Amann’s success has carried over to California Capitol, scoring eight times in 14 appearances.
Week 15 saw him star on as a super-sub, coming on in the 71st minute against Oakland. He would scored his first on the night shortly thereafter, heading a cross home in the 79th minute. Amann would find the back of the net once more in the closing moments, slotting it home from the top of the 18-yard box for his brace.
Unfortunately, the striker’s efforts were in vain, with Sacramento Republic FC losing, 3-2. Sacramento currently sits at second in the Western Conference standings with 24 total points.
The Quails continue USL Championship play this week on the road, heading across the country to face off with FC Tulsa. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m., and the match will also be broadcast live in English and Spanish on Antenna TV 40.2, as well as streaming on FOX40.com, through the FOX40 News mobile app, and on ESPN+.
