The San Francisco Giants made several roster moves Friday, one of which included placing Joey Bart on the 10-day injured list.
Bart was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left groin strain. In conjecture with the move, the Giants have called up 2020 first-round pick Patrick Bailey.
Bailey, the Giants’ No. 11 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is set for his MLB debut as Bart recovers on the IL. The Giants’ first-round pick (No. 13 overall) in the 2020 Draft, the switch-hitting Bailey posted a .276/.358/.419 slash line in 28 games at Double-A and Triple-A this year. Bart has hit .231 with two walks and 21 strikeouts in 26 games.
Bailey is expected to make his debut for the Giants against the Miami Marlins.
