San Francisco Giants fans will have to wait a little longer to see two of the team’s offseason signings in spring training.

Manager Bob Melvin announced the lineup for spring training’s opening day matchup against the Chicago Cubs, with Jorge Soler and Jung Hoo Lee listed as out.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle posted to X that Lee is dealing with “minor side soreness.” She added in a follow-up post that Soler will make his Giants debut Monday against the Anaheim Angels.

While talking to reporters, Melvin confirmed the soreness, adding they “don’t want to mess with it” this early in camp.

“I think he’s either a day or two probably from being back in the lineup,” Melvin said of Lee.
