Monday night, December 4, was a 4-1 victory for the Washington Capitals against the San Jose Sharks.
According to ESPN, this is the fourth time Capitals have beaten the Sharks in 18 meetings since Alex Ovechkin entered the league in 2005-06.
Ovechkin scored his NHL-leading 20th goal of the season, helping the Capitals beat the Sharks.
During the second period, T.J. Oshie left with an upper-body injury from Brayden Schenn and didn’t return to the game.
Tom Wilson grew up admiring Joe Thornton and on the same night, wound up fighting him.
#Caps' Alex Ovechkin finally beat same #SJSharks he grew up rooting for in a game that included some ticked off players and coaches: https://t.co/sFwsDFALxg pic.twitter.com/kytMBpKpns
