The San Jose Sharks and backup goalie Aaron Dell signed a two-year, $3.8M contract extension. GM Doug Wilson announced during the Sharks Facebook live session.
Per The Mercury News, Dell was going to be a free agent on July 1, but will avoid the open market with his new contract extension of two more years.
Wilson admitted that re-signing Dell to a contract extension was one of his top priorities.
Over his last six NHL appearances, Dell has posted an .885 save percentage.
