The accolades continue to pile up for Sasha Vezenkov.
Vezenkov was named to the All-EuroLeague First Team on Monday morning, giving the Bulgarian his second-straight First Team nod.
While rumors have suggested that the 6’9 forward is gearing up for a move to the NBA–more specifically, to the Sacramento Kings–in 2023-24, Vezenkov will continue his push for a EuroLeague title on Friday morning when Olympiacos faces AS Monaco in the semifinals.
The votes have been counted and the identities of the five players who make up the All-EuroLeague First Team can be revealed!

Over 37 appearances in the EuroLeague this season, Vezenkov averaged 17.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 65 percent on two-point field goals and 39 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
The Kings hold the 27-year-old’s NBA rights thanks to a draft day deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers last June, but Vezenkov’s recent extension with Olympiacos runs through 2025.
In April, a league source told Sactown Sports 1140 that there was “a path” to bringing Vezenkov to the NBA for the 2023-24 season. Just last week, Sean Cunningham reported on Chris & Company that there was a “90 percent” chance that Vezenkov would join Sacramento this summer.
More fuel was added to the Vezenkov-Kings rumors last week when Sacramento head coach Mike Brown and several team front office members were in attendance to watch the forward’s EuroLeague Playoff game against Fenerbahçe.
Over the weekend, NBA Insider Marc Stein reported that a EuroLeague source indicated a Vezenkov-Kings deal was “trending toward inevitable.”
Could Sacramento add the All-EuroLeague First Team talent to a team with two All-NBA Third Team players in De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis?
Answers are coming, and we could have a resolution as soon as next month before NBA Free Agency begins.
