Sean Cunningham, sports reporter and producer for FOX40, joined Cattles and Ramie to talk about how the Sacramento Kings performed on their road trip, the upcoming trade deadline, and more.

Topics discussed include:

  • Thoughts on the team’s deal for Kessler Edwards from the Brooklyn Nets
  • How surprising it is that the Kings have hit 30 wins a week into February
  • “I didn’t think they’d be as high as 3rd in the West at any point.”
  • Can Keegan Murray grow into being the team’s third option by the end of this season or is that too soon to ask of him?
  • “What Harrison Barnes has meant to this team this year has been huge, he’s produced numbers and played a role that’s been so much more important than what they probably needed. He’s taken over a role to pass the reigns to Keegan Murray. And whether or not Harrison Barnes is here beyond this summer, beyond this season, remains to be seen. But if he goes away and goes to a different situation, it should be poised very well to hand those reigns off to Keegan Murray and let him really just flourish with this Kings offense next year.”
  • How active will the Kings be at the trade deadline
  • What are the team’s biggest needs?
  • “I think what they need is a bonafide starting three, a three-and-d type player, I just don’t know if they can go out and get it.”
