Former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury joined “The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross” Friday to discuss why he still believes in the San Francisco 49ers after Week 6’s loss to the Cleveland Browns and what he expects when the Niners face off against the Minnesota Vikings.
The 49ers lost 19-17 on the road to the Browns last week, with the weather playing an impact. Traveling to Minnesota for a primetime game against the Vikings Monday night, Sean sees this as a bounceback game for Kyle Shanahan and company.
“I think the safest bet in the league right now, after what you saw the 49ers do last week, and I will play this bet this week, the 49ers win this game. The reason why is because that team isn’t going to have two stinky games back-to-back and I expect the quarterback to play well,” Sean said. “I would expect the 49ers to bounce back. In my mind, I still believe they’re the best team in the NFL and the best team in the NFC, obviously.”
Additional topics discussed include:
- Philadelphia and Dallas have had “human” looking games, too
- Week 6 was the most “inconsistent” San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has looked with easy throws
- The best music decade
- Why Steve Wonder is musically underrated
