San Francisco Giants Announce Spring Training Schedule

There are only 178 days until Spring Training.

The San Francisco Giants announced on Wednesday that they will begin their 2023 Spring Training slate on February 25th against the Chicago Cubs.

The Giants will play their first game at Scottsdale Stadium on Sunday, February 26 against the Cincinnati Reds.

San Francisco’s spring schedule features 16 contests at Scottsdale Stadium, including eight-weekend games, and 15 Cactus League road games. The Giants will host a game against a World Baseball Classic Team on Wednesday, March 8 at Scottsdale Stadium. Additional information on the WBC game will be announced in the coming months.

San Francisco has four split-squad dates in which the club will field a pair of teams and play two games on Friday, March 3 vs. Colorado and at Texas, Saturday, March 4 vs. Arizona and at Milwaukee, Wednesday, March 15 vs. Chicago-AL and at Arizona and Thursday, March 23 vs. Cleveland and at Chicago-AL. San Francisco will also enjoy two off days: Monday, March 6 and Monday, March 20.

The Giants will play their division rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers, twice, including a game at Scottsdale Stadium on Saturday, March 11 and a game at Camelback Ranch on Tuesday, March 21. San Francisco will also play the Oakland Athletics twice, hosting them on Sunday, March 12 and playing at Hohokam Stadium on Friday, March 17.

On Saturday, March 25, the Giants will host Seattle for their final game in Arizona before traveling back home to conclude their exhibition schedule with the Oakland Athletics on Sunday, March 26 at RingCentral Coliseum and Monday, March 27 at Oracle Park.
