A new season of college football means a new season of the Stingers Up Podcast, hosted by Jason Ross.
Things have changed a bit since last season. Troy Taylor, who led the Hornets to the school’s first 11-0 season is gone, now coaching at Stanford.
Now leading the team is Andy Thompson. With nearly 20 years of experience, Thompson has served as the Hornets’ defensive coordinator and linebackers coach since 2019.
This week, Jason talks to the offense and special teams coordinators:
- Kris Richardson, Assoc. Head Coach/Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line
- Tyson Prince, Wide Receivers/Passing Game Coordinator
- Donnele Pumphrey, Running Backs
- Bobby Fresques, Assoc. Head Coach/Off. Coordinator/Quarterbacks
- Jeremy LaPan, Special Teams Coordinator/Tight Ends
Sac State opens its 2023 football season on Thursday, Aug. 31, when they face the Nicholls Colonels on the road. The Hornets’ home opener is against the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions on Saturday, Sept. 9.
