Stingers Up Podcast: Will Sac State Close Out The Season Undefeated?

Nov 10, 2022, 2:00 PM

On the latest edition of the Stingers Up: The Sacramento State Football Podcast, host Jason Ross recaps the Hornets’ latest win against Weber State.

With last Saturday’s win, the Hornets moved to 9-0 on the season. Three of those wins were over top 15 teams. Sac State has two games left, this Friday’s matchup against Portland State and the Causeway Classic against UC Davis.

This week, Ross is also joined by the TV voice of Hornets football Dave Lewis and senior quarterback Asher O’Hara.

O’Hara has led the #2 ranked Hornets to a 6-0 Big Sky Conference record. He’s rushed for a touchdown in all nine games and 16 total in his Hornets career. That is the most by a Sac State quarterback in school history.

He has a chance to break the school’s single-season rushing yards record by a quarterback, too. The record currently stands at 750 by Garrett Safron. O’Hara sits at 690 rushing yards.

This Friday’s game against the Vikings kicks off at 6 p.m. Fans can watch Sac State football take on the Portland State Vikings on ESPN+.
