Basketball writer Zach Harper of The Athletic joined Cattles & Ramie Monday to discuss Sacramento Kings’ lack of moves at the trade deadline. Harper also talked about the Kings’ standings in the Western Conference this season, and if De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis are the best 1-2 combo in the West.

“I don’t love it, especially considering what other teams did,” Harper said on Cattles & Ramie Monday. “But I get it from the stance of the ‘Kings are playing above expectations’. If you look at everything going into the season, even if you thought they were gonna be much improved, nobody thought they would be here at this point.”

All that and much more on Cattles & Ramie.

Topics discussed include:

  • What moves should the Kings have made at the deadline?
  • Is Fox & Sabonis the best 1-2 punch in the West?
  • Is the lack of a backup big going to be a problem down the stretch?
  • What is the ceiling of the Kings this season?
  • Can the Kings win 50 games in the regular season?
