The PGA Championship kicked off last week and Tiger Woods came in to win. Woods remained unfazed, unimpressed and ready.

On Sunday, August 12, Tiger Woods shot his lowest final round ever in a major at the PGA Championship. He posted eight birdies in route to a six-under 64.

Woods finished the tournament at 14-under 267 and was two back of Brooks Koepka’s lead when he finished the round. The round, equaling his lowest of this comeback season, would not be good enough to win major number 15, but he had a legitimate chance to win for the second consecutive major after tying for 6th at last month’s British Open.

After starting the day at eight under and four back of Koepka, Woods got things started with birdies on 2 and 3 to get to 10 under. The birdie at 2 came after a pulled iron left him in an awkward stance for his second, but he managed to spin a wedge to within 10 feet and pour the birdie putt right in the center.

Though Woods did fall short of his ultimate goal, this final record is one for the record books.
