Fantasy football players and owners have not always seen eye to eye, but the two have contributed in creating a positive outcome.

The Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley sparked a string of donations from Fantasy Football owners over the holiday season.

Fantasy football owners shared their gratitude to Gurley for helping their leagues by donating to charities.

In 2016, reporter Michael Gehlken tried to introduce the idea of fantasy owners donating a portion of their winning to charities supported by NFL players that would be on their roasters.

Gehlken tried to reintroduce the idea on Christmas Eve:

Todd Gurley went to Twitter with a message to Fantasy owners:

“Fantasy owners you’re welcome now leave us alone. Merry Christmas!”

But then had second thoughts after a fantasy owner tagged him in his donation and captioned it by saying, “Only fair to give something back…”

Gurley went to Twitter to thank the fantasy owner and it sparked a string of fantasy owners donating to numerous charities.

According to Bleacher Report as a result to this, over $10,500 have been accumulated in donations to Shriners Hospital in honor of Gurley.
