Sacramento Republic FC & head coach Mark Briggs to part ways

The Sacramento Republic FC are making a head coaching change.
Mark Briggs will not return next season, as both sides have announced a mutual separation that will take place immediately. Sacramento Republic FC’s season came to an end on Friday night in Las Vegas in a 3-0 loss during the opening round of the USL Playoffs.
Briggs, 42, has been with Sacramento Republic FC since 2019, starting as an Acadamy Director before being hired as the fourth head coach in club history.
Republic FC and Mark Briggs have mutually agreed to part ways after the conclusion of the 2024 season. We thank Mark for his time at the club and wish him and his family the best in his next chapter.

We will now turn our attention toward a comprehensive head coaching search and building a championship roster for 2025 and beyond.”

I’d like to thank the players who’ve been a part of the past five years, the front office who’ve been incredibly supportive, and the fans who welcomed me into the club with tremendous passion and vigor,” said Mark Briggs. “I’m grateful for my time here and it has been an honor to be a part of this community.”
Per the Republic FC’s release, the club will announce its preliminary roster transactions for the 2025 season, as well as new player acquisitions in the coming weeks.
