In our quest for a second tie this season we were once again close, but weren’t able to finish the job. Last week I predicted two ties and we almost got them. The first game was the Giants and the Washington Football Team. Washington was down by three with a chance to get the field goal for the tie, and then this happened

Washington has really cost themselves with two losses against the Giants instead of the two ties they could’ve had. If they did tie the Giants twice, they would be in first place in the NFC East with a 2-4-2 record.

The second game was Monday Night with the Patriots at the Jets. The Jets had a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter, but the Patriots came back to tie it late. All the Jets had to do was run out the clock to take it to overtime, but New York’s 3 and out led to the Patriots game winning drive.

Looking to Week 10 it’s hard to find a tie, but I think I will go with the Bengals and the Steelers. The Bengals had the only tie of the season with the Eagles, and the Steelers are the only undefeated team in the league. Bengals are coming off a bye as well two strong showings against the Colts and Titans. The Steelers are coming from a game where they just got by the struggling Cowboys, Ben Roethlisberger isn’t 100 percent, and they have had some players miss practice due to a positive Covid test. The Bengals will look strong, and the Steelers will try and stay undefeated with the second tie of the season.
