Video: NFL analyst says 49ers’ Talanoa Hufanga could be ‘top safety in the NFL’

Donte Whitner, a former NFL player and current NBC Sports Bay Area analyst, joined Sactown Sports Tuesday to talk about Niners with Kyle Draper and Jay Johnson.
In 11 NFL seasons, the former safety made two Pro Bowls and was named to the 2006 NFL All-Rookie team. So it’s safe to say, Whitner knows a thing or two about defense. So when asked about current 49ers’ safety Talanoa Hufanga, Whitner only had high praise for the third-year player.
The three also talked about Trey Lance’s job security and which teams in the division are the biggest threats to the 49ers.
