Sacramento State continues to check each box needed to become a member of the PAC-12 or Mountain West conference.
On the heels of last week’s announcement that Sacramento State will be building a new 25,000-seat football stadium, a local group of leaders called ‘The SAC 12’ announced on Monday that the group has raised $35 million in NIL funds to further aid the school’s hopes of elevating itself into the FBS.
NIL deals (name, image, and likeness) allow college athletes to monetize their personal brand and endorsements through a variety of activities, including autograph signings, product endorsements, social media posts, and much more.
Sacramento State president Luke Wood joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross on Tuesday to share what the announcement means for the FBS aspirations and much more.
