The Oakland Athletics are no more.
Ahead of the franchise’s relocation to Sacramento (and then Las Vegas), the A’s announced on Monday that they have officially dropped “Oakland” from the team name.
As MLB-level accommodations continue to be added to Sutter Health Park ahead of Opening Day in March, the Athletics released a set of new brand guidelines as fans and media adapt to the franchise’s new era in Sacramento.
