This is what happens when you aren’t skilled enough to join the NBA but stand by the saying, ‘ball is life.’

A 25-year-old man posed as a high school student to enroll into Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas.

He was successful and landed a spot on the basketball time this school year.

“When we had the issue of the Hurricane Harvey in the Houston-area, he took advantage of that and portrayed himself as a victim of that event and enrolled himself in one of our schools,” said Dr. Michael Hinojosa, DISD superintendent to Fox 4.

Looks like this man took the movie 17 Again too literally.

The 17-year-old Rashaun Sidney Robinson you would cheer for from the stands, turned out to be 25-year-old Sidney Bouvier Gilstrap-Portley.

But now the question comes up to how was he able to pull this off?

Turns out Sidney was previously enrolled at Skyline with the excuse that he was a victim of homelessness, then he transferred into Hillcrest as a victim of the hurricane.

“We have some liberal policies for homeless students, but he knew that,” Hinojosa said. “And he took advantage of this opportunity to enroll in Hillcrest.”

It appears Sidney could have pulled the teenage look off, until a coach there recognized him and contacted Dallas ISD.

The 25-year-old was in the Class of 2011 at North Mesquite High School in 2011 and charged with tampering with government documents for filing false enrollment records.
