San Francisco 49ers guard Aaron Banks has been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup against the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This will be Banks’ second game in a row missed with turf toe, but coach Kyle Shanahan said there’s a chance he’ll be able to play in the 49ers’ Thanksgiving game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Tackle Colton McKivitz, who was injured in Week 10’s win after getting his ankle rolled up on, practiced in a limited capacity Thursday. On Friday, he was listed as a full participant. He enters Week 11 with no injury designation.

Earlier in November, the San Francisco 49ers opened up the practice windows for cornerbacks Samuel Womack III and Darrell Luter Jr., and defensive lineman Robert Beal Jr. Womack suffered a knee injury early in the season, whereas both rookies have not made their NFL debuts yet. Shanahan said the three are “coming along well” since returning to practice two weeks ago.
“It’s nice to have them at practice. It’s been nice having them this week. They’ve got another week left. Unfortunately, that week isn’t the best week, being a Thursday night game,” Shanahan said. “So yesterday was their main full-speed practice, but still got another week with them. They’re all showing that they’re healthy enough to play and stuff. It’s getting back into it and having to figure out the roster with those guys.”
