Fresh off of a series win over the Houston Astros, the Oakland Athletics return to action tonight to kick off a three-game set with the New York Yankees.

In the Wild Card race, the A’s trail the Tampa Bay Rays by 1.5 games for the second Wild Card spot. Matt Chapman enjoyed Houston pitching, batting .437 with two home runs and three doubles over the four-game series. Marcus Semien homered twice during the series as well, upping his season total to 21, just six back from his career-high of 27 that he hit during the 2016 season.
