Two years ago today, Oakland erased a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre

All athletic events will be on pause for the foreseeable future, which is a tough pill to swallow for sports fans around the world.

While this may be a rough time for Oakland Athletics fans, we can look back on some good times while we wait for baseball to make its return.

May 19, 2018: A’s 5, Blue Jays 4

Trailing 4-0 in the top of the eighth inning, the Oakland Athletics needed a big boost if they wanted to upset the Toronto Blue Jays.

That boost would turn out to be Athletics infielder Chad Pinder.

After a single by Stephen Piscotty cut the deficit to 4-1, Pinder stepped into he box with the bases loaded and two outs. Blue Jays reliever Tyler Clippard delivered a 1-1 fastball to Pinder, who put a good swing on the pitch and put it into the right-center gap.

The ball sailed over the fence, giving the A’s a 5-4 lead with only six outs remaining for Toronto.

Lou Trivino would pitch a scoreless eighth followed by a shutdown performance from Blake Treinen to close the game out, giving the Athletics a 5-4 win in Toronto.

Marcus Semien, Khris Davis, Stephen Piscotty and Chad Pinder all picked up two hits in the win for Oakland.
