All athletic events will be on pause for the foreseeable future, which is a tough pill to swallow for sports fans around the world.

While this may be a rough time for Oakland Athletics fans, we can look back on some good times while we wait for baseball to make its return.

June 8, 2018: A’s 7, Royals 2

Oakland Athletics slugger Khris Davis hit two home runs, Frankie Montas delivered 7.2 innings of two-run ball and the A’s defeated the Kansas City Royals 7-2 on this date in 2018.

Davis delivered a solo-shot in the first, his 16th of the season, to give the A’s a quick 1-0 lead. In the fourth inning, ‘Khrush’ powered his second home run off of Royals starter Jakob Junis to give Oakland a 2-0 advantage.

Frankie Montas (3-0) picked up his third win of the season, striking out five batters over 7.2 innings of two-run ball.

Jonathan Lucroy finished the game with three RBI, while Marcus Semien went three-for-four in the win for the A’s. Dustin Fowler finished with two hits and an RBI of his own to round out the Athletics offense.
