A familiar face will be donning a San Francisco Giants jersey this season.

According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson has reached an agreement with the Giants that will bring the Bay Area native back home.

The deal is for one year and $6 million, per the report.

Pederson, 29, grew up in Palo Alto before being drafted by the rival Dodgers in 2010. After winning a World Series title with Los Angeles in 2020, the outfielder secured his second championship ring last fall while playing for the Atlanta Braves.

The 2015 All-Star hit 18 home runs and drove in 61 runs last season while batting .238 with a .732 on-base plus slugging percentage.

With the National League finally having adopted the designated hitter, Pederson will likely have an everyday spot in Gabe Kapler’s lineup while LaMonte Wade Jr., Mike Yazstremski and Steven Duggar roam the outfield.
