Raiders Nets #1 Spot In Ticket Revenue For 2021 Season

The Silver & Black have made massive strides in the landscape of the NFL since moving to Las Vegas in 2020. But while most are focused to their success on the field, the franchise has had enormous success off the field as well.
Sports business outlet, Sportico, released their analytics on internal gate revenue for all 32 NFL teams in 2021 Tuesday, revealing the Las Vegas Raiders as the top earner with $119 million in net ticket revenue.
Last season, the Raiders welcomed fans into Allegiant Stadium for the first time after playing the 2020 NFL season with no fans due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The total paid attendance for Raiders home games at the $2 billion Allegiant Stadium last season was 600,774, according to numbers provided by the Raiders and the Las Vegas Stadium Authority,” according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
There was about a 15 percent difference between paid attendance and actual attendance at Raiders home games last season. This was mainly attributed to fans putting tickets on the secondary market that didn’t resell, or fans deciding not to show up for games because of the vaccine policy in place, Adam Feldman, Raiders vice president, stadium management, programming and guest experience, told the Review-Journal earlier this year.
Surprisingly, Allegiant Stadium ranked 25th in the league for total number of tickets sold despite leading the pack in net revenue, meaning that fans paid a hefty price to visit the Las Vegas stadium in 2021. The new home of the Raiders is one of the NFL’s smallest venues at a capacity of 65,000; only Chicago’s Soldier Field (61,500) and Arizona’s State Farm Stadium (63,400) hold fewer fans.

Coming up behind them is their former cross-town rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, with $117 million in ticket revenue, according to the report. Rounding out the top five are the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants. The Giants were the only team to not make the playoffs last season.
The Raiders announced that there will be no mask or vaccine mandate in place for the 2022 season, meaning more fans will have the opportunity to flock to Allegiant Stadiums to catch the Silver & Black in action.
And with the success of the team’s offseason, don’t expect those gate numbers to change anytime soon.
