Do we have any Lord of the Ring fans in the house, cause we have a return of a King.

The Sacramento Kings have agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent forward Kent Bazemore to return to the team. The Athletic’s Shams Charania first reported the signing and Bazemore confirmed the news on Twitter.

Bazemore was briefly with the team at the end of the 2019-20 season after a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers shipped the forward in a package deal to Sacramento in exchange for Trevor Ariza, Wenyen Gabriel and Caleb Swanigan. He played 25 games with the Kings that season. During his first stint with the Kings, Kent Bazemore averaged 10.3 points and just under 5 rebounds per game.

Over the last two seasons, Bazemore has stayed in the Western Conference’s Pacific Division, playing with the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers. He reunites with his former Warriors coach Mike Brown.

The signing of Bazemore is the latest move in a busy offseason for the Sacramento Kings. After drafting Keegan Murray with the number four pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the team kicked off free agency by signing Malik Monk. The Kings then traded Maurice Harkless, Justin Holiday, and a protected draft pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Kevin Huerter.
