With 31 seconds left in the 4th quarter and down by six, Pistons’ guard Alec Burks hoisted up a three-point shot in front of Kevin Huerter.

The Kings guard was called for a foul to resounding boos from the sold-out Golden 1 Center crowd.

In the NBA’s two-minute report for Sunday’s game, league officials confirmed that was the right call.

“Huerter (SAC) makes illegal contact to Burks’ (DET) hip during his shooting motion,” the report reads. The report, however, does not note that Kevin Huerter was hit in the face by Burks’ elbow during the shot.

Burks would go on to make two of the three free throws. Ultimately, however, the call wouldn’t impact the game as the Kings would pull out the win.

That hasn’t been the case this year, though.

Earlier in the season, the league noted Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro got away with a travel on a game-winning three against the Kings. Several nights later, Kevin Huerter was fouled by Klay Thompson during a game-tying three-point field goal attempt against the Warriors.

Huerter previously told Sactown Sports he’s seen a difference in how referees call Sacramento Kings’ games.

“It hurts me to say this, but yes. Honestly, that is something that within the first six games that’s been noticeable,” Hueter told Sactown Sports. “I won’t say which teammates, but a couple of teammates that have been here said, ‘Things are different here in Sac. We don’t get many calls. You’re going to realize in every game that things are different.’ And honestly it is something I’ve felt so far.”
