The Oakland A’s have agreed to a one-year deal with right-handed pitcher Trevor May. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

Debuting in 2014 with the Minnesota Twins, the 33-year-old pitcher lasted six seasons in Minnesota before joining the New York Mets two seasons ago.

“He missed the 2017 season following “Tommy John” surgery and is 32-24 with 12 saves and a 4.35 ERA in 309 career appearances, including 26 starts,” the Oakland A’s said in a press release. “May has 480 strikeouts in 403.2 career innings and has walked 136 for a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 3.53.”

May was briefly sidelined last season because of an inflamed right tricep. Before his injury, he was 2-0 with a 5.04 ERA in 26 relief appearances for the Mets.
